The Festung Fürigen fortress has been preserved in its original state. The Swiss Army built the fortress during the Second World War and then relinquished it in 1987. The rooms and fittings are largely the same as they were when built and offer a comprehensive insight into a historic Swiss fortification.

After an hour’s walking we reach Seefeld Alp. As you enjoy a drink here, you’ll find out more about the idyllic Lake Seefeld and its magical history. Your guide will enliven your outing with legends and information about the area.
Hike back to the geographical centre of Switzerland.
